OUR MISSION

Ms. Brown has over 30 years of experience, including having held roles as a senior business affairs executive for several prominent media companies as well as having a private entertainment law practice. Ms. Brown has negotiated complex licensing deals involving notable media companies such as Peacock, Apple, Showtime, Charter/Spectrum, Disney Plus, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO, Sony, Roku, and Warner Bros. In addition, Ms. Brown has negotiated a broad array of above-the-line talent deals (i.e., directors, producers, writers, and actors) as well as handled intricate intellectual property matters.

In private practice, Ms. Brown negotiated all aspects of entertainment deals representing both sides of the proverbial table between studio/production/talent and network/cable/streamers.

Ms. Brown has a keen understanding of the entertainment industry, having negotiated deals from their early inception in development to production and continuing to the exploitation/distribution of programming. Whether analyzing a multimillion-dollar production budget, determining profit participation for participants, or negotiating complex deals for the purchase of intellectual property, Ms. Brown has a wide breadth of industry knowledge. Ms. Brown’s experience in both domestic and international productions offers unique expertise in an arena that requires a vast knowledge of the workings of co-productions. Ms. Brown has also been sought after for her expertise in profit participation in the context of expert witnessing.
